The bitumen emulsion production process is divided into preparation stage, production stage and completion stage.

In the preparation phase, water and bitumen are first heated to process temperatures. The process temperature of ordinary bitumen emulsion is 55-60℃. If 90# bitumen is used, the temperature can be controlled at 130-135℃. If it is 70# bitumen, it needs to be controlled at 135-140°C. The above temperatures are only the most commonly used . Other emulsifiers may use different temperatures. Please refer to the laboratory formula for details. When the water temperature is ok,  it be pumped into the mixing tank. For example, if you want to prepare 1CBM soap, you would first add 0.6m of water, and then add the emulsifier into the soap tank Then add other additives such as acid , thickener, stabilizer, etc. into the soap tank. and then add water to 1CBM. The soap is prepared. The bitumen is also heated to process temperature.

At the same time turn on the  valves  to switches of the preheated pipes and  pumps .  After the bitumen and soap pipelines are circulated and there are no problems, you can proceed to the next step, the production stage.

In the production stage, the soap pump is started first, then the colloid mill, and then the bitumen pump. After the three motors start normally, check whether the material is discharged normally. Brown color is the best. Adjust the speed of the soap and bitumen pumps to the target solid content. During the adjustment process, adjust the soap first and then adjust the bitumen. Note that during the process of adjusting the bitumen, the emulsion flow rate will change. During the production process, always pay attention to the condition of the soap to avoid blockage caused by only bitumen entering the colloid mill.

At the end of the process, stop the bitumen pump first. After the bitumen pump has completely stopped, stop the colloid mill and the soap pump. After all equipment is stopped, use hot water or clean water to flush the soap tank, then start the soap pump and flush the soap pipes and colloid mill with clean water. Pay attention to cold protection measures in winter.

The bitumen emulsion plant has two core components, one is the colloid mill, which we often call the heart of the bitumen emulsion plant, and the other is the control system, which I often compare to the brain.

1.The rotor and the stator mesh with each other, and the bitumen mixture is ground and sheared through the high-speed rotation of the rotor and the stator. It is thrown from the center of the rotor and stator to the edge of the grinding disc, forming a spiral motion, which increases the length of the traveling path and is sheared and ground repeatedly more times.

2.There are eight shearing edges and three grinding surfaces on each grinding tooth of the rotor. The eight shearing edges and three grinding surfaces of the corresponding grinding teeth on the stator are sheared and ground at the same time, making the emulsifier - -The efficiency of one-time shearing and grinding is greatly improved, and its comprehensive capacity is more than five times greater than that of other emulsifiers.


3.The machine body has a thermal insulation interlayer and can be heated with steam or thermal oil.

4.The stator and rotor clearance can be continuously adjusted within the range of 0.1~2mm.

A. Using PLC + touch screen, it can set the bitumen and soap ratio, start with one button, and display instantaneous flow, cumulative flow and other parameters in real time.

B. Frequency conversion adjusts the flow of bitumen and soap to produce bitumen emulsions with various contents within the theoretical range.
